In high school football action last night, all local teams lost. Homer got blanked by Chittenango 42-0, Dryden falls to Lansing 28-13, Tully falls to Ludden 28-20, and LaFayettte fell to Sherburne-Earlville 34-14.

In girls volleyball, Homer falls to Westhill 3-2.

In boys soccer, McGraw over Brookfield 3-0 and Tully over Cato-Meridian 5-0.

In field hockey, Homer falls to Cazenovia 6-1 and Cortland loses to Weedsport 5-0.

In girls tennis, Homer over Fulton 4-3.

The nationally ninth-ranked Cortland women's volleyball team opened SUNYAC Eastern Division play with a 3-0 win over New Paltz and a 3-1 victory against Oneonta yesterday.

In soccer, the SUNY Cortland men beat New Paltz 1-0 to open SUNYAC play. The women also got a win against New Paltz 3-1 to also open SUNYAC play.

In women's field hockey, SUNY Cortland falls to 1-0 after Oneonta scores a goal in the final minute.

Syracuse University football takes on Minnesota tonight at 8pm. Cortland State travels to Morrisville State for a night game. We will have the game for you beginning at 6:25pm with the pregame show, kickoff at 7pm.

In Major League baseball action, the Yankees over Oakland 2-1 as Russell Martin hits a walk off home run and the Mets over Miami 7-3.

In golf at the Tour Championship, Jim Furyk is in the lead at -6, a one shot lead over Justin Rose. Tiger is at -1.
