In high school football action last night, Cortland over Solvay 27-6 and Tully over Onondaga 27-6.

In boys soccer, Dryden over Trumansburg 1-0 and Tully over Bishop Grimes 3-2.

In girls soccer, Dryden over Trumansburg 8-0 and Tully over LaFayette 6-0. Homer is at Johnson city at 11am today.

In field hockey, Cortland High falls to Port Byron 4-1. Homer is at Baldwinsville today at 1pm.

In Major League Baseball last night, the Yankees over Baltimore 8-5, as A-rod hits his 300th career home run in a Yankees uniform. The Yankees are now just one game above the Orioles in the AL East. Boston fell to Toronto 7-5 and the Mets lost to Atlanta 3-0.

In golf action at the BMW Championship, Vijay Singh is just one shot up on both Tiger Woods and Roy McIlroy at -13.

In tennis at the US Open, the womens final is all set up now as Serena Williams beat Sara Errani. She'll now take on Victoria Azarenka tonight.

In men's tennis action, Novak Djokovic beat Jaun Martin Del Potro, He will face David Ferrer today to see who plays in tomorrows final. Andy Murray and Tomas Berdych earned their semifinal berths on Wednesday.

And for the first time ever the US lost to Jamaica in soccer in a qualifier for the 2014 World Cup 2-1. They now have some pressure to win at home against them on Tuesday.

And those NFL players who were suspended by the NFL for the pay for pain bounty are now back, A three-member appeals panel lifted the supspense yesterday. The NFL re-instated them minutes later.
