Bon Jovi Releasing Definitive 25th Anniversary Edition Of 'New Jersey'
Thursday, May 22, 2014
Coming on July 1st is the massive "Super Deluxe Edition" of Bon Jovi’s 1988 chart-topper, New Jersey. In addition to the two CD/DVD version, the set -- which is the start of the band’s 30th anniversary reissue campaign -- will also feature a single CD and digital version, and a double disc deluxe edition. New Jersey, which was Bon Jovi’s fourth album, was released on September 19th, 1988, and was the first released with the band already superstars following the success of 1986’s Slippery When Wet.
The most eagerly anticipated portion of the new set is the first official release of the Bon Jovi's legendary demos for the proposed double album version of New Jersey, originally named Sons Of Beaches.
Richie Sambora feels that having multiple decades under their belt is a crowning achievement for Bon Jovi: "Y'know the great thing about Bon Jovi fans now I think there's multi-generational fans that we do have at this point. There's probably three generations of Bon Jovi fans. We've been around for almost three decades now. So, there's the new kids that thing that we're a new band that are following us for maybe two or three records. And there's the people that have been following us since the inception of this organization."
