Former Home Of Johnny & June Carter Cash Sold By Barry Gibb
The former Hendersonville, Tennessee home of Johnny and June Carter Cash has been sold for $2 million. The Tennessean reports that the most recent owners, Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees and his wife, Linda, turned the property over to Lakehouse Holdings, a Tennessee limited liability company, last month.
The Gibbs purchased the famous property, which includes four lots on Old Hickory Lake, back in 2005. They paid $2.3 million for the nearly 14,000 square foot, seven-bedroom home and were almost finished restoring it when a spark from a preservative caught fire, destroying the historic home. Barry and Linda originally planned to rebuild, but that never happened.
Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash both died in 2003.
