Definitive Rod Stewart Live Box Set Coming In March
For a performer, who's hardly taken a year off from touring over the past 45 years, the upcoming Rod Stewart box set, Live 1976-1998 is long overdue. The four-disc collection will be released on March 18h and features a whopping 58 previously unreleased live tracks -- including such Rod favorites as "Maggie May," "Every Picture Tells A Story," "You Wear It Well," "(I Know) I’m Losing You," "Passion, " Infatuation," "Stay With Me, " "Hot Legs" -- with Tina Turner, "Some Guys Have All The Luck," "Tonight I’m Yours (Don’t Hurt Me)," "You’re In My Heart (The Final Acclaim)," "Mandolin Wind," "Baby Jane," "Forever Young," "Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?," and many more.
Rod Stewart admitted to us that he never thought he'd achieve so much through singing when he first turned professional: "Oh, when I first came into it, I was getting paid 35 pounds a week. And I thought, 'Well, 35 pounds a week,' you know, 30 years ago, was a lot of money. I thought, 'Well, this is absolutely wonderful. If it lasts for six months, I'll be able to save up and buy a, y'know, modest sports car and go out and pull all the girls (laughs)'"
