Steven Tyler, John Fogerty, And Jon Bon Jovi Set For Howard Stern Birthday Bash
Howard Stern's upcoming birthday bash looks like it's gonna be one of the hottest nights in rock -- featuring Steven Tyler, John Fogerty, and Jon Bon Jovi. The legendary shock jock, who's birthday was actually on Sunday (January 12th), will host a private 60th birthday extravaganza on January 31st at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom.
Ultimate Classic Rock quoted Stern as saying: "There’s a lot of superstars coming, but I am a huge, huge fan of Aerosmith’s and of Steven’s. I love the way he interprets a song, and to have him there that night performing is fantastic. He’s going to be performing with someone very special."
Stern also saluted Fogerty, who'll reportedly play two songs, saying, "One of my heroes will perform that night, one of the all-time greats, a guy whose every record I bought when he was in Creedence Clearwater Revival and later his solo stuff."
John Fogerty told us he's constantly amazed at how his Creedence classics seem to pop up in his everyday life: "Very cool things happen when I'm actually incognito. I've actually been in a diner in the middle of Wyoming or Nebraska, or someplace.
And my little boy is standing there with me, and some dude gets up from the very end of the counter, kinda saunters over to the jukebox, puts in some money, pushes a couple of buttons, and then 'Bad Moon Rising' starts. And to have your little boy look up at you, and you both go, 'huh?'(laughs)"
