Paul McCartney's 'Something New' Special Hitting TV Next Week
Paul McCartney fans have come to expect the obligatory "making of " documentary for each new album -- and 2013's Top Three hit, New is no exception. McCartney has announced the fly on the wall doc called Paul McCartney: Something NEW will air on December 13th on the hi-def channel Palladia and VH1 Classic.
According to the press release, "Something NEW features incredible live and backstage footage shot around the world during his amazing run of shows in 2013 and (chronicles) yet another peak into Paul McCartney's legendary career, Something NEW is a rare glimpse into his incomparable artistry, his creative process and the incredible impact his music has all over the world."
Paul McCartney says that although he always appears to be swamped with various creative and charity projects, he actually lives quite a leisurely life: "I have quite a bit of time. You'd be surprised. I do these kinds of things, like this promotion stuff now, and I do quite a lot of it in one spurt, but then I've got the weekend off. I put spare time in. I'd have to or I'd just go mad."
McCartney has often said that his main objective in life is basically to enjoy himself: "The other thing is, y'know, I do like what I do. It's not really hard work for me. I love to paint. I love to write poetry. I love to make music. I mean, even talking to you is not a pressure (laughs)." )
