Report: Paul McCartney Eying A Return To Dodger Stadium
In addition to news that Paul McCartney is eying a return to San Francisco's Candlestick Park -- fans in the Southern California visit might be in store for another visit from the former Beatle. Beatles Examiner reported that McCartney, who's currently on his Out There! tour -- which, live his recent extended treks spreads his tour dates over several months in various territories, is reportedly looking to play Dodger Stadium once again. The "Fab Four's" second-to-final public performance took place there, on August 28th, 1966 -- the day before the band's legendary Candlestick Park show.

McCartney tops Pollstar's current Top 20 Concert Tours list, according to The Associated Press. The weekly list is based on data provided to the magazine by concert promoters and venue managers and calculates the gross per city and the average ticket price. McCartney came in at Number One with a gross of $3,620,049 and an average ticket price of $131.27. Pop star Taylor Swift tailed McCartney at Number Two raking in $3,126,773 with a ticket price of $86.58.

Paul McCartney told us that even early on, he was convinced the Beatles' music would be around for generations: "I remember in the '60s having a discussion with a cousin of mine who was a bit older, and he was saying, 'Do you think the Beatles stuff will last and ever become standards?' It was a very bold move of me then, 'cause, y'know, it was a just fresh-off-the-skillet kind of thing. I said, 'I think it will,' and he said, 'What, do you mean like Sinatra, standards and all that?' I said, 'Yeah, I think it might well be.' It was a little cheeky of me to say it then, but it's amazingly gratifying to now see I was right."

Paul McCartney will next perform on September 21st at the iHeartRadio Music Festival at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena.

His still-untitled 24th mainstream solo studio album is due out before the end of 2013.
