Lou Gramm Heading Back Out On The Road
Fresh off his recent induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame with fellow Foreigner co-founder Mick Jones, former frontman Lou Gramm is heading back out on the road. Gramm recently released his critically acclaimed autobiography, Juke Box Hero: My Five Decades In Rock N' Roll, which deals with his often tumultuous relationship with Mick Jones and his recovery from both his battle with substance abuse and near fatal brain tumor in 1997. Gramm kicks off the dates on August 9th in Navan, Ontario and winds things down on September 2nd in Memphis, Tennessee.
Mick Jones recalled that upon forming Foreigner in 1976, he knew that Gramm would prove to be invaluable with a signature voice -- with the songwriting chops to match: "I knew he had written, he was a writer too, and always felt that, y'know, it was important that the singer in any band had something to do with, (laughs) obviously, creating the songs, 'cause they're gonna sing them. Lou came up with some great titles; I think 'Head Games,' I think 'Hot Blooded,' too. And he developed into a really good writer."
