Ringo Starr Publishing 'Octopus's Garden' Kids Book
Ringo Starr will publish a children's book based around his 1969 Beatles Abbey Road classic, "Octopus's Garden." USA Today reported that the book, which will feature artwork by Aliens Love Pants illustrator Ben Cort, will be published in the UK on October 24th and here in the States in January 2014. The first edition will come with a previously unheard track and a reading of the story by Ringo.

Out now is Ringo's first eBook, titled Photograph, featuring never-before seen shots of him throughout his life -- including during the Beatles' heyday. Photograph is released in conjunction with the new Grammy Museum Exhibit, Ringo: Peace & Love, which features selections of the book's photos.
A limited-edition hand-bound book, signed by Ringo, will be published in December.
Author Christopher Sanford who wrote the recent biography, titled McCartney, says that with the deaths of John Lennon and George Harrison, the Beatles' legacy firmly belongs to Paul McCartney and Ringo now: "It's ironic and in some ways not wholly inappropriate that Paul is the one still on the boards, and of course dear Ringo is still with us, doing the All Starr's and everything else. So yeah, the legacy is theirs now. There is no ambiguity. If you want to hear the Beatles by proxy, you go to a Paul McCartney show."
Ringo's Photograph is the follow-up to Ringo's 2004 book, Postcards From The Boys, which collected his personal postcards from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison over the years.
