The Eagles Add Pacific Northwest Dates
As expected, the Eagles have tagged on additional stops for several cities on their upcoming History Of The Eagles Tour. New dates now on the books include Pacific Northwest concerts on September 4th at Seattle, Washington's KeyArena At Seattle Center; a second Vancouver date on September 7th at Rogers Arena; and a second Calgary show on September 12th at Scotiabank Saddledome.
One song that's probably going to get a lot of stage time during the Eagles' tour is their Grammy Award-winning cover of collaborator J.D. Souther's "How Long." The song, which Souther originally released in 1972, was a live staple of the band's during the early-'70s and was revamped in 2007 to serve as the lead single to the Eagles' 2007 comeback album Long Road Out Of Eden. Souther recalled to us how he learned that the group was reviving his long-forgotten classic: "I had no idea it was coming. That was Glenn's wife's idea. How can I be critical of somebody taking a, what is it, a 35-year-old song and makin' a single out of it? That's. . . as (their manager) Irving (Azoff) said to me, 'Y'know, John David, don't underestimate this -- this is the only Eagles hit that they didn't write in their history."
