Bad Company Making Late Night USA TV Debut On 'The Tonight Show'
40 years into its career, Bad Company will finally make its late night U.S. TV debut. The band will promote their upcoming 24-city 40th anniversary summer tour by appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday, June 10th. Since reuniting in 2001, Bad Company has only played 11 isolated performances, and has not staged a North American tour until now. The band features original members frontman Paul Rodgers, guitarist Mick Ralphs, and drummer Simon Kirke. Joining them on the road is former Heart guitarist -- and recent Rock Hall inductee -- Howard Leese and Rodgers' solo bassist Todd Ronning.

Blabbermouth.net posted that Bad Company has teamed up with DiscLive Network, to present fans with double CD soundboard copies of their shows. The discs, which are available for purchase the night of the concert, "will be individually numbered and packaged in super high quality digipaks . . .will also contain an extra 'bonus' CD with an exclusive 'rockumentary'-style interview with the band."

Frontman Paul Rodgers told us that Bad Company did everything they could not to fall into a hard rock formula that so many other band latched on to: "If we had a hit like a "Can't Get Enough" or a "Feel Like Makin' Love" or anything, I don't know -- "Run With The Pack" -- we never tried to do -- or said, 'Oh let's write another one like that.' Wee look for a song that delivers a simple message in a fairly tough way, y'know? Not too sentimental. We never get maudlin or anything like that."
