The Eagles Announce A Dozen October Dates
The Eagles have just announced a dozen October dates on top of their 20-city summer tour. The trek, which will feature a guest appearance by co-founding guitarist Bernie Leadon, will take the form of a retrospective; with the band chronicling their group and solo catalogues over the past 40 years along with an all new multimedia presentation to mark the band's anniversary.

The band's newly added October dates will hit Lincoln, Nebraska; Denver, Colorado; Wichita, Kansas; Dallas, Texas; Memphis and Nashville, Tennessee; Indianapolis, Indiana; Rosemont and Moline, Illinois; and Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri.

Glenn Frey, who's been a family man for the past two decades, admits that his kids are the ones helping him stay hip these days: "I think they know what we do and they have a certain amount of respect for, y'know, what we do, but they have their own music. I kinda stay a little bit current by listening to what my kids are listening to."

Joe Walsh, who recently wrapped up a string of arena dates opening for Bob Seger, told us that although he enjoys touring as a solo act, he's really a band member at heart: "Solo tours are good, but they're demanding. You're the boss and you're in charge of everything. Being in a band takes the edge off that -- it's a little easier. You sing a few and get to play on other people's music."
