Quick Takes On Billy Joel And Meatloaf
Under the advice of Paul McCartney, Billy Joel hired the former Beatle's exclusive private detective to hunt down the woman who had been cyber-stalking his daughter Alexa Ray Joel. The New York Post reported 40-year-old Sheryl Finley, was found naked "in the frigid woods of Minnesota" and was charged with stalking singer-songwriter Alexa for several months. According to the court records, Finley sent a barrage of 60 messages to Alexa's Facebook page with some involving mentions of "pedophilia, sadistic-sexual behavior, violent physical assaults, and murder." Upon her arrest she told officers that the various threats of rape and murder were not things she intended to do "during this life." According to a source, McCartney had referred to Billy to a Europe-based private-security firm "not bound by the same legal restrictions as the police."
On Sunday (April 15th) Meat Loaf has postponed yet another of his final shows in the UK, with a post on his Facebook page blaming in part: "medical reasons afflicting several members of the band. Meat and everyone in the band and crew send love and apologies and thanks you for understanding." So far, Meat Loaf has canceled or postponed five of his eight final shows. Meat Loaf next performs on April 17th in Manchester, England. (Pollstar)
