Eric Burdon Pays Tribute To Jimi, Janis & Jim On New Track
Legendary Animals frontman Eric Burdon is back with his first new studio set in six years, titled, 'Til Your Rivers Run Dry. One of the highlights on the album is a song called "27 Forever," which salutes some of Burdon's '60s comrades -- which just happen to be rock's greatest casualties of the decade: "We all had a concept that we'd never live to see 30. That mindset, which still remains with me -- even though I've turned 70 years of age -- is the reason why I wrote '27 Forever.' Because I watched a lot of friends and people that were close to me die at 27. Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison. And you start to research it even further and the list goes on forever!"
