The Steve Miller Band has announced a handful of 2013 dates. Miller and the band will play their first North American show of the year on February 13th in Clearwater, Florida, and as of now, will wrap things up on September 27th in Catoosa, Oklahoma. Miller has three more dates on the books for this year; he plays Windsor, Ontario on December 28th and wraps things up for 2012 over two nights -- December 30th and 31st -- in Port Chester, New York.
Steve Miller told us that his music serves a different purpose now, and that although his tunes won't be burning up the Top 40 charts like they did in the 1970's -- he's still confident that the younger generations will get hip to it: "It's a different world now, and that's okay, this is a great time because kids have so much more access to music than we ever did. (Laughs) Now, when you can go to a kid and he'll go, 'Yeah, I've got 145,000 songs in my music library -- you wanna hear some Japanese music,' or something. And you just go 'That's amazing.' Y'know that's great."
