Yes Will Play Three Classic Album Per Night On Tour
Yes is heading out on the road in 2013 playing three of the band's classic albums in their entirety in one night. Yes -- which now consists of Chris Squire, Steve Howe, Alan White, Geoff Downes, and latest frontman Jon Davison -- will tackle 1971's The Yes Album, 1972's Closer To The Edge, and 1973's Going For The One. Guitarist Steve Howe said, "These albums we all easily agreed on -- they are complete works in themselves. I believe the only song not performed in concert is 'A Venture' from The Yes Album."

The 23-date set will feature all three albums -- except for the five casino dates on the itinerary, which will only feature The Yes Album and Closer To The Edge due to time constraints. At the tail end of March the band will be playing on board Fort Lauderdale, Florida's "Cruise To The Edge." It's not clear at this point whether the band will be tackling all three, only two -- or none of the classic albums on board the ship.

Bassist Chris Squire went on to say: "Probably the most tricky of all the songs planned for this set is 'Turn Of The Century' from the Going For The One album."

Drummer Alan White added: "This is a great opportunity to show the growth of Yes in these different eras -- and to relive the memories of these times."

We asked Alan White how he deals with the fact that Yes has been passed over for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the past 19 years: "You can't sit there and get upset about the fact. But we have had an incredible career, spanning over a lot of years and sold a lot of records. And to me, it will be kind of an obvious thing. The thing is, that when Genesis got in, I saw a little ray of light there as far as they're starting to open their eyes. And it's a very strange process they go through. Jann Wenner, who's the Rolling Stone editor, right? He's kind of the head guy on that. I don't know, I think he's been a guy that never really liked prog music that much."
