The Who Sign on For CBS 'The Grammy Nominations Concert' Live
The Who will appear on CBS' The Grammy Nominations Concert Live, which will air on December 5th, according to Rolling Stone. There's no word as to whether the band -- who are Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipients -- will pre-tape their performance during their December 2nd stop in Nashville, or be piped in live from their concert on December 5th from New York City's Madison Square Garden. The event is being broadcast live on the network at 10 p.m. from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.
Pete Townshend hinted that the Who's 2013 dates might be extended once the second leg of the tour ends in late February: "In the past, what has happened when we did the last tour, that tended to roll on a bit. We actually went to Japan and to Australia, New Zealand -- but we never ever cracked South America, we never got to Mexico. We didn't play in any of the European countries outside of, y'know, the Latin ones. But we did play in Spain for the first time on the last tour, and that was something that we waited a long time to do. And it was fantastic when we did it."
