Mick Fleetwood: Fleetwood Mac Not Adding A Fifth Member
Mick Fleetwood says that although the though has been in the back of their minds, Fleetwood Mac will never replace Christine McVie. Although McVie's departure from the band shortly after their 1997 reunion tour left an open position in the band's lineup, and despite a tentative thought about Sheryl Crow possibly filling the hole left by McVie, the band has decide to carry on as a four-piece with numerous sidemen and women.
Fleetwood told us that from here on out, Fleetwood Mac will always -- and only -- be himself, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks: "No, there are no more thoughts in that department, and there won't ever be. We're done with the looking. We've been with Stevie and Lindsey out front now, for, wow, probably it's about 14 years, or so, since Chris left -- maybe it's more, I don't know. And we have a comfort that we've done several big tours as we are, and we've moved on."
