The Beach Boys Releasing Live Reunion Concert DVD
The Beach Boys will release a live DVD from their recent 50th Anniversary tour on November 20th. The 21-song set, called, The Beach Boys 50 - Live In Concert, features selections from their 75-date reunion tour featuring co-founders Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, and David Marks -- along with 47-year veteran, Bruce Johnston.

Brian Wilson spoke about getting back in the studio and on the road with the Beach Boys after a 15-year hiatus: "The Beach Boys 50th Anniversary tour meant so much to me personally. Performing with the guys again was an absolute thrill. I'm so glad we captured it on film so that everyone, whether you were there or not, will be able to see what an historic event it was."

Wilson's first cousin and Beach Boys frontman, Mike Love, added: "The 50th Anniversary Tour was a historic, special event. This DVD captures the tour brilliantly and marks an important, iconic moment in time in our band's history. It's a moment I am deeply proud of."

Joe Thomas, who co-produced the band's recent Top Three album, That's Why God Made The Radio, and co-directed the new DVD said: "It was truly an honor to be allowed to capture this historic performance. The song selection allows fans both new and old a chance to fully appreciate the span and depth of the Beach Boys catalogue. This DVD includes performances from their hits in the early-'60s to selections from their latest album. To be able to film all five surviving members of this historic band, together one more time was certainly a dream come true."

Bruce Johnston told us that he was convinced during the tour's very first rehearsal that the 50th anniversary reunion would click: "The first time we ran 'Good Vibrations' it was really good, and I knew that this whole thing was gonna work. Just going one time through singing it, I thought, 'Ha! This is going to happen.'"
