The Doobie Brothers' Career Spanning Doc Coming Next Month
Coming to DVD and Blu-ray on November 13th is the Doobie Brothers' career-spanning documentary, called Let The Music Play, according to AntiMusic.com. The film, which chronicles the Doobies' long and storied career starting back in 1970 in Northern California, includes new and exclusive interviews with band-members Patrick Simmons, Tom Johnston, Michael McDonald, John McFee, Tiran Porter, Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, longtime producer Ted Templeman, and Doobies manager Bruce Cohn, among others.

The DVD featured nine live bonus performances of such Doobies classics as "Rainy Day Crossroad Blues," "Without You," "Listen To The Music," "Black Water," "Takin' It To The Streets," "Rockin' Down The Highway," "Neal's Fandango," "Long Train Runnin'," and "China Grove."

With the band riding high with their current road dates and critically-acclaimed studio album, World Gone Crazy, we asked guitarist Pat Simmons what's next for the Doobies: "As far as the future's concerned, I know we will play more shows and we'll probably do more recordings. I never have really projected too far into the future. I try to look from goal-to-goal."
