Dr. Conrad Murray Says Jail Is Affecting His Health
Thursday, October 11, 2012
TMZ.com has obtained a phone call of Dr. Conrad Murray -- the man convicted of killing Michael Jackson, telling a friend that jail is literally killing him. In the phone call, he revealed that he was rushed to USC Medical Center earlier this week fearing that he had blood clots in his legs. He told his friend, "It progressed until the leg felt numb ... it was painful all to the top of my foot ... around the medial aspect of my ankle and all the way to the mid-calf." He explained, "Blood clots are relatively risky ... especially if they propagate from the legs into the lungs to cause pulmonary embolism which can result in permanent disability or even death."

The site said that doctors determined that Murray had no bloodclots, but Murray says he continues to suffer. He told his friend, "I have had to lay in bed for most of the day because there is no way to elevate my feet. One of the recommendations by the doctor is to keep my legs elevated and to increase my activity which is impossible in a 5x7 cell. I may never be able to wear a boot again."

He then said, "I don't want to be permanently hurt by any condition in here ... because if I am, I will not let it rest."

JANET JACKSON DEMANDS VANITY FAIR RETRACTION

Janet Jackson's lawyer has demanded a retraction from Vanity Fair Magazine over their report that said that Janet delayed her brother Michael's funeral over a financial dispute. Lawyer Blair G. Brown said in a letter to Vanity Fair editor in chief Graydon Carter, "This story is particularly hurtful and distressing because of Ms. Jackson's strong desire to serve her brother, whom she loved dearly, and her wish to stand with and support her family."

The attorney also said that the article "replete with additional false and defamatory statements" and has demanded a retraction.
