Steve Winwood's second solo album, 1980's Arc Of A Diver, will be given the deluxe reissue treatment on September 24th, along with a second bonus disc including rare tracks. Ultimate Classic Rock reported that the album, which peaked at Number Three and featured Winwood's solo breakthrough hit, "While You See A Chance" -- which peaked at Number Seven -- will include three additional tracks and a radio special. The Second Disc reported that the bonus disc includes the edited U.S. single version of the "Arc Of A Diver," a 2010 edit of "Spanish Dancer," and the U.K. 12-inch instrumental version of "Night Train." The disc also features the BBC Radio 2 documentary entitled Arc Of A Diver: The Steve Winwood Story.
Winwood, who played all the instruments on Arc Of A Diver, says that being a multi-instrumentalist sometimes confused people -- but ultimately stopped them from pigeon-holing him: "I mean, obviously being a keyboard played and a guitar player, it doesn't always so myself any favors doing that, because sometimes people don't know whether to see me as a guitar player or a keyboard player or a singer. So perhaps I'm a bit of a jack of all trades."
Steve Winwood will next perform on November 23rd in Thackerville, Oklahoma at Winstar World Casino.
