The Rolling Stones Announce New Hits Collection
The Rolling Stones will release their latest greatest hits set, titled, GRRR! on November 13th. The career-spanning collection -- which features a bizarre album cover featuring a drawing of a gorilla with the Stones' signature tongue-and-lips logo -- will be available in several different formats -- including a three-CD 50 track version and a four-CD Super-Deluxe version featuring 80 tracks.

Among the highlights on the set are "Come On" -- the Stones' cover of the Chuck Berry rarity, which was their first single released in June 1963, "The Last Time," "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," "Get Off Of My Cloud," "Jumping Jack Flash," "Honky Tonk Women," "Brown Sugar," "Tumbling Dice," "Miss You," and "Start Me Up," among many others. GRRR! features two new studio recordings recently completed by the Stones in Paris, France -- "Gloom And Doom" and "One Last Shot."

After 50 years in the spotlight, Mick Jagger, feels that people still don't comprehend that despite having a family and other interests, fronting the Stones isn't the only thing going on in his life: "Sometimes people find it hard to understand that you could be all of these things at once (laughs). And y'know, people put their own image on you, y'know, like they do on an actor or actress, or any other popular figure. They put their own idea on you. And that's what you're for, just a personal interpretation."

Ron Wood feels that he was actually born a Rolling Stone, and it simply took until 1975 for him to actually become part of the group: "I was born with those songs in my mouth, anyway. Y'know, you can name any song of their. . . And I was with it, y'know, I didn't have to learn it. When I joined the band back in, '74, or whenever and I had to learn 160 songs, or something -- that was my initiation down in Woodstock -- I ended up teaching them to the band! I mean, I knew the songs. I'd never played them before, but I just knew them."
