Cortland Grand Jury Indicts Couple For Making Meth
A Cortland County Grand Jury has indited a couple who were found with a meth lab in their vehicle in their last month in Cortlandville
Back in June, Cortland County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle on Morgan Drive in the Town of Cortlandville.
During the stop, Deputies observed what appeared to be items used in the manufacture of the drug meth in plain view. The officer used a K-9 to confirm the presence of illegal substances in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle turned up several  items used for manufacturing methamphetamine. A small amount of methamphetamine was also located in the vehicle.
45 year old Ramon Velazquez of 143 Penguin Drive, and his wife 38 year old Candida Velazquez of 177 Main Street, Groton were both charged with a felony count of unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the third degree.
A Cortland County Grand Jury has moved to indite the couple on both charges. They have not been arraigned on the charges at this point.
Both are being held in county jail on $2500 cash, $5000 bond.
