Three People Arrested After Tip Leads to Meth Lab in Cortlandville
Three Cortland County residents are behind bars after an anonymous tip Friday lead deputies to a meth lab in the Town of Cortlandville.

At approximately 8:20 p.m. Friday evening, the Cortland County Sheriff's Department responded to a house at 4595 McGraw North Rd.
When officers arrived, they discovered smoke and a chemical smell coming from the garage. Inside officers found an active meth lab.
Three people were found inside the garage and arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance, 45 year old Robert Alberts who lives at that address was charged along with 28 year old Kristina Yerian of 3494 McGraw Marathon Road, and 42 year old Terry Maricle of 110 Owego Street, Cortland.
Alberts and Yerian were arraigned on the charges and sent to the Cortland County Jail on a $50,000 cash bail each, while Maricle was held without bail. All three are due back in court today.
Because of the hazardous situation, an environmental agency from Syracuse responded to help clean up the scene.
Investigators also had to relocate two people to a hotel, who were not involved with the crime, but were living in a house on the property. The Red Cross assisted with temporary housing.
