One of two Cortland men who was arrested as part of a large Heroin bust in Cortland back in January is now facing a second Grand Jury indictment
Back in January police conducted a multi agency drug bust that resulted in the seizure of 172 packets of heroin from an apartment in Cortland. During the raid police also found a small quantity of drug Molly (MDMA); 3 grams of cocaine; and 20 grams of marijuana. Along with scales and packaging used in the distribution of heroin.
25 year old William Clark and 17 year old Casson Hathaway both of 10 Northcliffe Road, apt. 513 were arrested in connection with the bust.
In March a Cortland County Grand Jury handed up separate indictments against Clark and Hathaway, both men were indicted on a single felony county of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree.
Later the Grand Jury has handed up additional charges against Hathaway, including four more felony charges for criminal sale of a controlled substance. The indictments accuse Hathaway of selling heroin and the prescription pain pill Oxycodone.
Now, Clark faces additional felony charges, the Grand Jury has handed up three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree and one count of conspiracy.
Clark was arraigned on the new charges and sent back to the County Jail on $250 thousand dollars cash or $500 thousand dollars bond.
