Rep. Richard Hanna Makes Campaign Stop in Homer Last Saturday
Republican Congressman Richard Hanna was in Homer this past weekend as part of a campaign swing through the area. Hanna handed out free hotdogs Saturday at the Super Cream dairy bar in Homer.

The newsroom spoke with Hanna as he greeted supporters and prospective voters. Hanna is facing a primary challenge from fellow Republican State Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney. Tenney has been endorsed by the State Conservative Party.
Hanna says he hopes to continue representing the wide variety of interests in the 22nd Congressional District which includes all of Cortland County.
Tenney has been critical of Hanna for refusing to engage in debates across the district, Hanna says he has refused because Tenney's campaign has been marked with dishonesty and mistatements.
Despite Tenney's conservative endorsement Hanna is confident he will pick up a large number of conservative republicans in the June 20th primary. There is no democratic challenger in the November general election so it is a winner take all primary vote.
