Moravia Woman Arraigned on Charges for Selling Heroin
A Cayuga County woman who is accused of dealing Heroin here in Cortland appeared in Cortland County court yesterday where she was arriagned with legal counsel.
 
29 year old Jessica Thompson of 11 West Ave., Moravia was arrested by Cortland City Police on May 8th.
 
Police responded to the P&C Grocery Store where Thompson was stopped for stealing merchandise. During her arrest it was determined she was wanted on a warrant out of Cortland County Court. Thompson was wanted on a sealed indictment charging her with 2 felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance.
 
The indictment accuses Thompson of selling heroin to an informant at the end of March.
 
Thompson pled not guilty in Court yesterday and was sent back to the  Cortland County Jail on $20 thousand dollars cash or $40 thousand dollars bond.
