Excellus BlueCross Sitting on Nearly $1.5 Million in Unclaimed Customer Refunds

If you’re an Excellus BlueCross BlueShield customer, you could have money out there that you don’t know about.
The company announced Wednesday that more than 10,500 New Yorkers, including hundreds across Central New York, have forgotten about more than $1.45 million in checks issued by the company to members and providers in 2010.
If the funds aren’t claimed by the end of August, the money will be turned over to the state comptroller.
