Cortland County Man Charged Following Crash in Groton
A Cortland County man is facing multiple charges following a two car crash earlier this month in Groton.
Back on April 11th Tompkins County Sheriff Deputies responded to two car crash on Stevens Road in the Town of Groton. 
Police say 37 year old Charlton Crandall of Route 215, Cortland was involved in the crash, but fled the scene prior to their arrival.
Upon further investigation Deputies discovered that the driver of the other vehicle also possessed an order of protection out of Cortland City Court barring Crandall from having contact with the victim
Crandall was charged with a felony charge of criminal contempt, aggravated unlicensed operation and leaving the scene MVA. Crandall was also charged with unsafe passing on the left.

Crandall was issued an appearance ticket to reappear in court on the 23rd.
