Ithaca Police Investigate Attempted Robbery and Assault
Ithaca Police are looking for a man, accused of punching someone and trying to steal his wallet.
Patrols were called to the 200 block of Willow Avenue just before 11 p.m. on Saturday.
A man told officers that someone he didn't know approached him and demanded his wallet and backpack.
The robber closed his fist and hit the victim several times in the head before taking off in a dark colored SUV that had two other people inside.
Police released the following descriptions of the people who left in the SUV.
First, a black male, about 6' tall with an athletic build and short hair. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and dark colored pants.
Also, a younger looking white female, approximately 5'6" in height, with a stocky build and blonde shoulder length hair parted in the middle.
A second black man appeared to be young, about 5'8" tall, with a thin mustache, glasses and short hair.
