Freeville Mobile Home Fire Displaces One Person
One person was forced from their home following a fire in the Village of Freeville Monday morning.
Just after 10 o'clock Monday firefighters responded to a reported mobile home fire at 258 Bone Plain Road in Freeville.
Upon arrival rescuers found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home. It took rescuers about half an hour to bring the fire under control. There were no injuries associated with the fire.
The initial investigation suggests the fire started in the living room area and then burned through the roof.
The cause is still under investigation, in addition to Freeville, Etna, Dryden, Groton, Cayuga Heights, Lansing and McLean firefighters also responded to the scene.
