Scott Man Facing Multiple Charges After Refusing to Pull Over Sunday Morning
A Town of Scott man is facing felony DWI and other charges after he refused to pull over during a traffic stop, fled from officers, and attempted to evade arrest.
36 year old John Hudson of 277 Route 41 is facing multiple charges, he was arrested Sunday morning.
Around 2 o'clock Sunday morning Cortland County Sheriff's Deputies observed Hudson operating his Dodge Van in an erratic manner on Route 41 in Scott. The Deputy attempted to stop Hudson, but he refused to pull over, he kept driving to his home near the Onondaga County line. Hudson got out of his van and attempted to go into his home, the pursing officer struggled with Hudson and took him into custody.
Hudson was charged with a felony count of DWI due to a prior conviction in 10 years, and a felony charge of aggravated unlicensed operation. In addition he faces misdemeanor charges including resisting arrest, unlawful fleeing of a police officer in a motor vehicle, and reckless driving.
Hudson also faces a number of traffic violations including failure to keep right, failure to use a designated Lane, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, refusal to take breath test, unlicensed operation, drove across hazard markings, failure to comply with lawful order, no distinctive/dirty license plate, improper wipers/unauthorized stickers.
Hudson was arraigned in the Town of Scott Court and sent to Cortland County Jail on $2,500 Cash or $5,000 Bond, he's due back in Court on March 4th.
