Heroin & Cocaine Seized During Raid at Groton Home
Tompkins County Sheriff's Deputies along with state and local police conducted a drug raid at home in the Village of Groton on Friday. Officer seized heroin, cocaine, and packaging materials used to distribute the drugs.
On Friday morning around 6:30, members of the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, Village of Groton Police, Ithaca City Police, New York State Police and Ithaca Tompkins County SWAT team served a search warrant at 208 East Cortland St. in Groton.
Inside the home officers seized 19 prepackaged bags of heroin, one bag of loose heroin weighing approximately one gram, cocaine weighing approximately 1 gram and packaging material.
The raid was the result of a lengthy investigation into narcotics trafficking in the area, no other details were released and police did not say if any arrests were made.
