Cortland Man Serving Weekends in Jail Charged With Possession of Jail Contraband

A Cortland man who was serving weekends at the Cortland County Jail for a previous drug arrest is facing a new charge after he showed up at the jail with a marijuana pipe.
County Sheriff's Depuites say last Saturday they arrested 41 year old Terry Maricle of Cortland promoting prison contraband, which is a misdemeanor.
Maricle was previosly sentenced to spend weekends at the Jail by Cortland City Judge Elizabeth for a drug related conviction.
Back on January 25th Maricle was supposed to report to the Jail by 7:00am, he showed up over a half hour late and when he did he had a pot pipe in his pocket.
Maricle was arraigned in Cortland City Court and released he is due back in Court on Valentines day, he may want to consider bringing flowers and candy to court.
