Man Arrested For Trying to Fill Bogus Prescription at Cortlandville Walmart

A Bronx man is facing felony charges after he attempted to fill a forged prescription at the Cortlandville Walmart pharmacy.
Last Thursday Cortland County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the store on Route 13.
Deputies say 21 year old Leroy Mensah of the Bronx New York attempted to a use a forged prescrition to purchase 60 pills that contained a narcotic drug. Police did not specify the exact type of drug.
The on duty Pharmacist called the doctor who supposedly wrote the prescritption and verfied that it was forged.
Mensah was charged with felony counts of Possession of Forged Instrument and attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, he was also charged with a misdemeanor count of Possessing Stolen Property.
Mensah was arraigned at the Cortlandville Town Court and remanded to the Cortland County Jail on 5,000.00 cash and 10,000.00 bail bond.
