Suspect in Norwich Gun Theft Found Dead, Second Suspect in Custody
State Police say a suspect in a Chenango County gun shop burglary has been found dead in the woods and a woman faces charges in the theft of more than 20 weapons.

Troopers say 22 handguns, several long guns and numerous boxes of ammunition were taken from Mayhood's Sporting Goods in Norwich last Monday night or early Tuesday. On Friday, state police announced they had charged 25-year-old Brandy Bousson of Norwich with third-degree burglary. She was sent to the Chenango County Jail on $250,000 bail.

Troopers say 29-year-old Christopher Gonzalez was found dead during a search of woods in the town of Norwich on Friday.

He had been wanted for questioning the gun theft. Police said the cause of death would be determined in an autopsy.
