Democrat Elizabeth Burns has maintained her election night win over her rival democrats in the Cortland City Judges race.
County election workers tallied absentee ballots today in the City Judges race, Burns received 137 additional votes, Mike Shafer picked up another 86 and and third place finisher Ron Walsh tallied another 50 votes.
The final vote total for Burns was 1,149, Shafer 974, and Walsh with 800 total votes.
Burns who is the City's first woman Judge beat both her male rivals in the General election last week, and also beat them in September's Democratic primary.
Burns takes over the job from retiring City Judge Tom Meldrim. Burns previously served as a part Time City Judge and has also served as an assistant County Attorney.
