Cortland County Sheriff's Deputies Investigating Cigarette Theft at Cortlandville Rite Aid
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help trying to locate three suspects involved with the theft of a quantity of cigarettes from the Rite Aid store in Cortlandville.

Last Friday evening around 6:30 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies responded to Rite Aid Drug store at the corner of Route 222 and Route 281.
 
Police say a black male approximately 5’6 tall wearing a long sleeved white shirt, blue jeans and a red ball cap entered the store along with two black women. 
 
The women apparently distracted a cashier and the man went behind the counter and placed several cartons of cigarettes in a trash bag The man left the store on foot and the women got into a car and left
 
Anyone that may have been in the area, or may have seen anyone fitting descriptions of the individuals involved is asked to contact the Cortland County Sheriff’s department at 607-753-3311.
