Dominion Energy Donates $10k to Central NY Red Cross
The Dominion Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Dominion Energy, has donated a $10,000 to the Central New York American Red Cross. The money will be used for a disaster preparedness education programs throughout the region.
The funds will benefit eight of the 16 Red Cross Chapters in the Central New York Region. Broome, Chenango, Tioga and Tompkins are among the chapters that will tap into the disaster preparedness grant; Cortland was not included.
The grant funds will be used to develop and print volunteer training materials, purchase presentation equipment, and purchase materials and supplies for presentations and takeaways for participants. The goal is to make presentations to about 2,000 adults in the eight counties over the next year.
