Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced a comprehensive statewide gun buyback. The Attorney General’s Office announced that his office will be accepting working and non-working, unloaded weapons in exchange for compensation.
Binghamton, and Utica are among the four sites designated for the buy-back program.
The gun buybacks are designed to reduce gun violence and keep weapons out of the hands of those that would misuse them.
The AG’s office is offering $25 for antique or non-working firearms, $50 for rifles and shotguns, $75 for handguns and $100 for assault-style weapons.
