Cortland Police Looking For Suspect Involved in South Main Stabbing
Cortland City Police have identified a suspect in connection with a stabbing that occurred on South Main St. Thursday morning.
Just before 1:30 Thursday morning Cortland City Police responded to an assault near the intersection of Williams and Main Street.
At the scene Officers found the victim who has been identified as 22 year old Rammon Driscoll of Elmira lying in the roadway. Police say Driscoll was bleeding profusely due to lacerations to his neck and face.
Officers attempted to control the bleeding until EMS personnel arrived and took over. TLC Ambulance transported Driscoll to the Cortland Regional Medical Center where underwent surgery for his injuries.
After interviewing potential witnesses and reviewing surveillance video from businesses detectives were in able to identify the man responsible for the attack.
Police have obtained an arrest warrant for 27 year old Christian Little-paz of 129 Sheffield Road Ithaca, Little-Paz is wanted on felony charges including assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.
Little-Paz has not been taken into custody at this point.
Driscoll is also facing charges, he was found in possession of a number of illegal drugs including marihuana, cocaine, ecstasy, heroin, and morphine sulfate. Driscoll was charged with unlawful possession of marihuana, two misdemeanor counts of possessing a controlled substance along with two felony counts of possessing a controlled substance.
Driscoll was arraigned on the charges and sent to the Cortland County jail on $20,000.00 cash or $50,000.00 bond.
