Moravia J-V Basketball Coach Accused of Having Sexual Contact With Student

State Police in Auburn arrested a 27-year-old Moravia Junior Varsity Basketball Coach, he’s accused him of having sexual contact with a student.
State Police have charged Chad Raner of 175 N. Main St., Moravia with a felony count of criminal sex act. Raner is accused of having sexual contact with a Moravia high school student while employed as a substitute teacher.
Investigators say they have "no reason" to believe Raner had sexual relations with any other students.
Raner was arraigned on the charged and sent to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
Moravia Superintendent Michelle Brantner has declined comment.
