A Dryden man is facing charges, he’ accused of intentionally cutting the brake lines of a woman’s car in the Cayuga County Town of Venice.
24 year old Daniel McMillen was arrested following a three week investigation by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Department.
On Monday the owner of the car contacted Cayuga Sheriff’s Deputies and reported that she had experienced brake trouble with her car in Tompkins County last Sunday.
The vehicle was towed to a service facility where the damage was examined. Police say that the damage to the brake system was suspicious in nature and that the brakes had been tampered with on two separate occasions.
Police say McMillen and the female victim know each other but did not elaborate.
McMillen is charged with a felony count of reckless endangerment and a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief. He was arraigned in the Town of Aurelius Court and released, he’s due back in court at a later date.
