Cortland Wants to Hear From Flooded Property Owners
Many property owners here in Cortland County spent the weekend cleaning up and drying out following last week’s flooding.

In the City of Cortland nearly 300 homes experienced some flood related issues. Many homeowners spent the past couple days pumping water out of basements and assessing damage.

For those that did get water in their homes the Cortland County Health Department has information on its website to keep people safe and as they clean-up from the recent flooding, the information is available at cortland-co.org/index.php/flood-clean-up.

All property owners affected by the flooding are urged to contact their insurance companies to see what assistance may be available for them. The City of Cortland is asking property owners there that were impacted by flooding to give them a call.

They want to know which properties flooded so they can begin planning and look for ways to address future flooding events.
