State Police Targeting Speeding and Aggressive Driving
Monday, August 12, 2013
State police are cracking down on speeding and aggressive drivers this week.
Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the week-long initiative called Speed Week, to crack down on speeding and aggressive drivers. The increased enforcement began on Saturday and runs through next Saturday, August 17th.
State Police will increase their enforcement on drivers who don't follow the speed limit.
Drivers can expect to see more troopers on major highways as well as unmarked patrol vehicles. Troopers will also be looking for distracted or impaired drivers, anyone not properly buckled and drivers violating the "Move Over Law."
