Local Friendly's Restaurants Impacted by Acquisition, Route 281 Location Closing

One of the two Friendly’s restaurants here in Cortland County will close, the Route 281 Friendly’s is among 8 of the restaurants that is closing its doors.
The closures are part on an acquisition, Friendly’s is buying 35 of its restaurants in Upstate New York from the Kessler Family, LLC which owned and operated the restaurants.
Friendly’s says the local closures are not related to the acquisition process. The company anticipates completing the acquisition by Wednesday. The Clinton Ave. Friendly’s is also part of the acquisition, but will remain open.
The Friendly’s location on Triphammer Road in Lansing is also part of the deal, but is expected to remain open.
