Benefit Planned to Help Families of Fatal Truxton Crash
A benefit has been scheduled to help the families of the seven people killed in the tractor trailer mini-van crash that occurred in the Town of Truxton at the end of May.
Back on May 29, a tractor trailer hauling scrap cars on Route 13 became detached and collided with a minivan carrying eight people.
Seven people were killed in the horrific wreck; the victims included 26 year Teresa Bush, her two daughters, 5 year old Jasmine and 4 year old Alexis, two other children, 7 year old Alyssa Mead and 4 year old Tyler Mead were killed. Their father, Shawn Mead, 31 was the only survivor of the crash. 21 year old Lena Beckwith and her fiancé 24 year old Carino Vanorden died in the crash, the couple was expecting a baby.
On Sunday, July 28, there will be a "Benefit Jamboree" from Noon to 6 p.m. at the Cuyler Fire Station to help the Bush and Beckwith families cover funeral expenses.
There will be live entertainment from Chain Reaction, Aiken Heart and Loaded Dice.
