The United Way for Cortland County is very proud to announce they have reached and exceeded their financial goal for the 2013 Campaign.
Campaign co-chairs Elin Pantas and Christella Yonta say that pledges to date total over $554,000 which brings them to 101% of goal of $550,000.00.
This is the 6th time the campaign has exceeded goal during the tenure of Executive Director Cindy Eberhart.
The United Way receives pledges through employee campaigns at local businesses, letter writing efforts, corporate donations, and special events such as the Cortland Tri for United Way and the Great Polar Bear Challenge. They also receive strong support from donors working out of county who give through another United Way but designate their gift back to Cortland. Also, hundreds of volunteers work on the campaign and at the special events throughout the year.
If you are interested in volunteering with, or donating to, the 2014 Campaign which kicks off with the 2nd Annual Cortland Tri for United Way on September 21st, contact the United Way at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit cortlandunitedway.org.
